Professional Experience

1972-1979

General practice of law in the Law Office of Frank E. Ahearn South Windsor, CT. Practice included real estate transactions, zoning matters, domestic and estate practice.

1979-2003 

Litigator in the Office of the Attorney General, Hartford, CT. Attorney Morrin’s primary focus during the 24 years working under four Attorneys General was eminent domain. This involved the trial of many of the largest eminent domain cases in the State over a 20 year period representing the Departments of Transportation, Public Works and Environmental Protection. Duties included counseling sophisticated agency clients in matters involving the acquisition, management and disposition of real estate.
Attorney Morrin taught eminent domain law in formal and informal settings to client agency staff and
other attorneys.

2003-present

The Law Office of Robert T Morrin in New Britain and Berlin, CT. Having retired from the Office of the Attorney General, Attorney Morrin is currently engaged in the private practice of law, concentrating, by preference, on matters involving eminent domain, representing both condemning authorities and property owners. Attorney Morrin is currently representing property owners in pending reassessment appeals in Hartford, New Haven, Litchfield and Fairfield Counties.
